I represent the majority of Minnesotans who do not identify with any of the mainstream political parties. I personally believe that the political parties have become another barrier between a responsive government as it was created to be and the citizen.

Prior to 1998, I had always voted, been involved in my community and kept up to date with the issues that were at the forefront in our state. I had never felt the need to be a part of the political party machine, but decided to join a party and try to be a part in a more in depth way.

All elected officials deserve our respect as they have been chosen to represent the people, by the people.

I hereby pledge that I will honor this and will campaign only in a positive way. When I speak about challenges facing our state, I will do so by focusing on issues and the policies of the candidates I oppose.
